Introducing... Baby Love

She arrived on a chilly winter evening, four nights after the brightest supermoon of the year. We're still getting to know one another and spend most of our days wrapped in a cocoon of soft cotton blankets by the seaside. Her scent is faintly sweet, her dark chocolate hair the softest I have ever felt.

We were very surprised to discover we had a daughter and feel very, very blessed that this delicate newborn is ours.

Welcome, baby Love.

    1. Thank you Prue, it's nice to hear from you again. I hope you are well. I have been writing blog entries for each month since she arrived; things that I did not expect, new experiences, the feelings and her little milestones. I'll post them soon so if you're interested, there might be some useful information there for you xx

    1. Ahhh I take comfort in knowing that there are others out there who may also feel a little overwhelmed or lost on specific baby-related matters. We are human and I feel empowered but also strangely overcome at times. The love is constant though... Thank you for the reassurance xx

    1. Thank you, Jodi. Trying to conceive can be awkward, complicated and messy. If I'm being honest, I lost heart on a few low occasions. Seeing her, feeling her, smelling her sweet scent and telling myself that she is real and she is ours is the greatest feeling I have experienced. Becoming a mother is the single most important event of my life and I cherish every moment with her. Now I truly know what it feels like xx
